DNC Altitude Line

The DNC Altitude Line is a 50.10-mile long (80.63km) electrified railway line between its western terminus in Vehtle and eastern terminus in Davelo. It's only station stops are Davann, Visdon and Hiidal.

The line was constructed in 18,852 by the Dave Railway Company, a direct subsidiary of Dave Co. The company operated the line until 19,001 when the Dave Town Railways Act mandated its transfer to the new Government-controlled Dave National Connection (DNC) initiative.

The iconic Dave Co. Express, designed by Vatolinn Dableisch, the Dave Railway Company's chief engineer, served the line until 19,002, when it was moved to the Dave Transport Museum in Davdon.

In 19,004, all steam trains on the line were replaced by the DNC's new DR55 Diesel Locomotives and the stretch between Davann and Visdon was upgraded significantly, allowing faster speeds.

In 19,629 heavy demand for faster speeds for the rest of the line, and for it to be on the level of other lines such as the DNC Intercity Express led to its electrification and the implementation of old DNC Regional Express DR100 EMU's.

Over the next 10 years, the DR105 and 510 Locomotives also entered service, providing regular high speed service through the Davalays Mountain Range and over the River Davernne.

The line links the west of The Daughalands to the east. It carries commuter traffic into Vehtle, as well as freight services. There are two operators on the line, the Dave National Connection, and the newly established Daughalands Local Railway which provides frequent stopping services throughout the region, calling at 4 re-opened stations: Davann Farm, Divcall, Davernne Docks and Vacety. The company currently operates with a fleet of DT450 and 451 DMU's, but have purchased a set of 40 Bi-Mode DT460s, which are set to replace the current stock in early 20,752.
